Kyr About

Why is a Students Rights Initiative necessary?

Student Rights are a vital aspect of the collegiate experience. If students are deprived of their rights, the value of their education is threatened. The Legal Divison of the Student Government Association understands this. That is why the Know Your Rights campaign was created.

In addition to educating students on their rights, KYR doubles as an initiative generator. This campaign desires to take your ideas and turn them into workable proposals for the betterment of the University. Interested in having your voice heard? Drop us a line and let us know what changes you would like to see regarding Student Rights.

Finally, KYR works to highlight the services that you already pay for. Student Legal Services, Dispute Resolution Services, and the Office of Diversity Initiatives are just a few examples of some of the great services students have access to as a result of tuition and fees.
