Once confirmed to the Senate, each Senator is assigned Registered Student Organizations (such as Chocolate Club or the Association for Computing Machinery). Any time a Senator's organization needs assistance (most commonly to secure funding from the Senate) it is the Senator's duty to assist the organization and draft any appropriate legislation.
Student Senators are not paid (unless holding a Senate Leadership position) and are required to fulfill approximately 8 hours of work per week. Senate meetings are 7PM each Thursday (6PM every other Thursday during Summer).
